Argentina is one of the favorites to win World Championship in Japan, most of their stars agreed to play for their country and they are well balanced. All of them can shoot and most of them have good defence. Serbia is not the favorite in this championship. They have really weak team after last teammates fight. They had many problems inside so neither their coach neither their stars are going to help their country. The team has many young talents and they should be learning more in this championship than reach something. This is only a friendly match before the championship in Japan, but it is only one week left to it, so the teams should now start showing their real faces. For today we can?€™t see Serbia in the same level as Argentina so we think they should win something like 12-19 points. The Lithuanian basketball league (LKL) starts on the 22nd of September so if the bookies offer us odds for the first games we will post our choices here as soon as possible. Many picks will be from local Lithuanian bookies, but there are some international bookies who offer odds for those games too. For example triobet.com, bwin.com.
As soon as other leagues start there will be more picks from NBA, Euroleague, Uleb cup and others, but there will be no more than 4-5 picks per day.

First of all congratulations to all Spain and Greece teams fans. Greece team beat USA which was a big surprise for most of us and Spain showed great team play all through the World Championship in Japan and an outstanding performance in the final match.
From a betting side this WC turned to profitable only in last days. Our winning picks started and were going all through the championship always around 50%. There were many surprising results in this WC so we couldn?€™t get more than half picks won (which would mean profit), but in last week of the WC our picks went 10W - 4L, so all in all we ended this championship having 21 pick won and 17 lost. That gave us 55,3% won picks. 100 units on every pick gave us +43 units in general with an average odd of 1,836. That is +1,5% profit. Not what we expected at the start, but still not a minus.

One more pick won in last day of the WC and we got a record of 21 picks won and 17 lost, so 55,3% winning picks. That makes us a profit of +1,5%. At least it?€™s not a minus, but the profit is quite low. If we count that we put 100 units on every pick, we will get +43 units.

1st pick. France ML - Turkey @ 1,87 Triobet
I think Turkey has reached even more than we could all expect before the start of championship. Everything is said about these two teams in earlier posts. France - team with tough defense, quite good team play and hard to beat for every opponent. Turkey - team with good coach, but young players and reached enough in this WC. On our opinion this young team won?€™t be able to beat France?€™s defense, so under for Turkey?€™s 75pts would be a good bet too.

Very disappointed in today?€™s Lithuania?€™s performance, where they lost having a lead all 3rd and 4th quarter. Turnovers, turnovers, turnovers?€¦ G. Gustas scored 10 pts so 1 pick won and 1 - lost. Two picks for today:
1st pick. USA over 88 pts! (OT included) @ 1,85 Triobet
I was surprised to see a total so low. USA is a team that plays very fast game and trusts mostly offense. There are exceptions for example in matches like vs Italy or Germany two days ago. But I think that was only the lack of unvalued teams from USA?€™s players side. It is semifinal now and USA should take it seriously and play as they can. 88 pts is very low for a team that has probably the best offense in this WC.
Probably we will take another one pick from this match, but we are still considering weather to take HT -6 or FT -12. So another pick will be later.

1st pick. Lithuania (-4) - Turkey @ 1,85 Omnibet
Revenge. This one word can say everything. Lithuania lost to Turkey their first match in group and they now are angry and want to take the revenge. Of course "want to take?€¯ and "will take?€¯ are two different phrases, but on my opinion Lithuanians are able to do that. The only thing that scares me is that they are very confident of doing that, everybody is just talking about their revenge and that Lithuanians will take 5th place. It is too early to talk about that place, but this match should be won by Lithuanians. You could have seen on our page that we gave 5th place in group for Greece team, but they?€™ve managed to show some very unexpected wins and they?€™ve even reached the 1/8 finals, but on my opinion that is all they got. They?€™ve showed miserable game against Argentina and the same should be with Lithuanians. We are not expecting win by 20-30 pts, but somewhere around 8-12pts. Sireika (Lithuanian coach) should make some decisions after game 1 and offer their opponents something new and we still believe him.
2nd pick. G. Gustas over 3,5 pts @ 1,85 Omnibet
Lithuanian PG. He?€™s playing in starting five (except few games) at PG position, where the main problem in this team is. Spends around 20-30 minutes. This guy can shoot pretty well (what he has showed in game against scoring 19pts), but he is mostly trying to pass the ball or throwing it to the out of bounds. Nevertheless it is only 1 shot he has to make and adding 2 made free throws we will have 4 pts. On average he is taking about 3-5 shots and he should be fouled sometime so should step to the free throw line. He is feeling the concurrency from a youngster Kalnietis who changes him in PG position.
On my opinion, team?€™s main PG, who spends quite a lot of time on court, who will try to show that he can be better than the other PG, one or another way will score that bloody 4 pts. So take it if you have an opportunity at your bookie.
That?€™s it for Thursday games for now, but we are still considering what to take for game Germany - France. It looks like France win, but we are still looking if we can find something better.

Our two picks for today has already ended. The main first pick (Argentina (-4,5) half time) went without any problems and Turkey, as we predicted, hasn?€™t got much to offer for Argentina.
R. Fernandez scored 10pts and lucky for those who took under 11pts in some other bookies. Our pick was under 10pts in Omnibet and this bookie returns half sum of the bet if it is a push, but still we will count this one as a lost pick.
First pick for tomorrow games is USA over as we?€™ve already taken it yesterday and there is one pick from Greece - France game which you will find on our site.

The same situation as in game with Asutralia. Our page suggested to take USA over and USA handicap. Australia and Germany are pretty much at the same level. Germany of course is a bit better than Australia, they have not only Nowitzki, but other team players as well that shows this Championship that they can play and help their team leader. But Germany?€™s defense isn?€™t that good that they could stop USA. This is the only team in championship to play in a different way (comparing with other teams) - fast, fast, fast with much power, good defense and made 3 pointers. At first Germany?€™s defense weren?€™t bad in this WC, but after a game vs Nigeria we saw that there are plenty of space to find in Germany?€™s defense even for African team and Americans should easy find that way to the basket.

2nd pick. R. Fernandez (Spain) under 10 pts @ 1,85 Omnibet
This player showed real class in group games against weak opponents. Scored 11/14 3pointers in all games and managed to score 16, 18, 21, 7, 4 pts. Everything should change in this stage. Against New Zeland he managed to score only 2 pts and played 19 minutes. His playing time should fall down to about 15 in this match because it should be a tough one and all starters should get more minutes. Fernandez is not a starter and we think he won?€™t manage to score 10 pts in this important game.
On general we think it should be an under game, so under 160 would be a good choice, but everyone is putting their money on over, so that?€™s why we will not put it as a main bet and the winner is very hard to predict. Spain should win this one, but if it is going to be 4 or 14 points is hard to predict.
We hope Lithuanians to play over their capabilities tomorrow and show great defense so they could take a win, but from the betting side it is hard to predict so R. Fernandez to score under tomorrow in Lithuania - Spain game.

1st pick. First half result Argentina (-4,5) - Turkey @ 1,8 Orakulas
Both teams qualified for the ?¼ finals but for Argentina it is normal and everyone expected them to do so, but no one expected Turkey to go this far. Personally our team gave them 5th place in their group, but they managed to win some important matches in last minutes and took 2nd! place. Now they are facing the world champs and on my opinion it is two different teams. Argentina has many good players which feel the rhythm in playing basketball. They?€™ve trashed their opponents in group games and won in 1/8 finals against New Zeland by 17 points. Argentina is always trying to crush their opponents at first half and then play a little bit slower or at the same tempo. Maybe Turkey is able to cover the spread at 9pts, but only if they will have some luck in defending their opponents and will shoot some hard shots. So the handicap -8 for the whole match is a little bit too high for us because Argentina may win only by 7 or 6 points, but everything should be solved in first half and Argentina?€™s main players should have a lead by at least 10 pts at a half.

Well 1/8 finals was divided in two parts: first day in which we had no luck and lost all 3 picks and second day in which we managed to win all 4 picks. On the first day only one or two shots from one or another side would have let us win and on the second it was all clear with USA game and France were amazing in defense in first 3 quarters. Also Greece showed real defense against Y.Ming as we thought.
All in all over 5 % profit during these days.
